Psalm 3:5 NASB95 I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustains me.
So often we miss the work of God because we over estimate our ability. I have had people say to me, "I don't know how people survive without Jesus." My answer is always, "they don't." No one has ever existed, let alone lived and survived without Jesus. Oh they might not have Him as their Savior but that doesn't change the fact that He is Lord God the Creator. They might deny Him yet they can't breathe without Him. They might deny Him yet they can't be here to deny Him without Him. Genesis 2:7 NASB95 Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
Every person that takes a breath is only capable of breathing because of Jesus!
When we realize our frailty, our weakness, our depraved state, and our total reliance on a creator then we see how God is working to sustain every beat of our heart, every blink of our eyes, and every breath of our lungs. We in His power have the peace to sleep and we in His power we awake to live. It is not possible inside creation for nothing to create something. People may talk about a big bang but there is none. However, if God ever removed Himself from His creation there would be an enormous bang as we would instantaneously cease to exist.
We need to praise the Lord that everyone is sustained by the Lord. In our free will through His power, We need to praise the Lord that He provides us with rest. We need to praise the Lord He gently wakes us with His continual presence in our existence.
There are those of us who have Him as Savior and then there are all of His creation, {including us,) that Has Him as Creator and Sustainer.
Now think, there is nothing going on in the world that He hasn't already known.
For that we need to praise Him as He enables through His power for, us to lay down and sleep, and to awake, for the LORD sustains us.
Everything we see is done through the miracle working power of Jesus.
Praise Him for His presence, power, persistence, and protection, in our daily lives. No make that hourly lives. No make that secondly lives. No make that our nano secondly lives. No even that is not enough to describe how often He is involved in our lives. So let's just praise Him always, without ceasing!
Psalm 3:5 NASB95 I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustains me.
Every moment in every way Jesus is our everything!
