Colossians 3:1 NASB95 Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

If you are a Christ follower, meaning you have completely believed, repented, and surrendered, to Jesus then you have died to self and been raised up in Him!

Having been raised to walk in a new life you are told to seek the things above. That is we are to seek the life of heaven. We should not desire the old life of earthly stuff but the new life of brothers and sisters joined together at the foot of the throne.

Just imagine it.

Imagine, there are no tears, no death, no disgrace, and the presence of the Lord is!

Imagine, the word of God is taught and received with anxiousness.

Imagine, everything is good and love is felt for all alike.

Imagine, a multitude of people from every tribe, tongue, and nation joining together at the table of the King. They are from the East and the West, the North and South, each different but all together in love for the feast.

Imagine, the last shall be first and the first shall be last and all will be in place in unity!

Imagine, many dwelling places and one is built just for you. All in the vicinity of the Father.

Imagine, Jesus is at the right hand of the Father continually as the three-in-one God Head is worshiped.

Imagine, everyone is clothed in the Righteousness of God through the blood of the Lamb.

Imagine, time is no more, no matter how long you are there you are no closer to the end.

Imagine, you are sheltered under the presence of the Lord so you will never hunger or thirst or feel the unbridled heat of the Sun but instead will feel the warmth of the Son.

Imagine, being shepherded by the Shepherd who has never lost a sheep and He takes you to still and living water.

Imagine, everything is new and never grows old, rusts, or diminishes.

Imagine, there is no curse of sin, no wages of death.

Imagine, being where the throne of God is and the Lamb is at the center with Him.

Imagine, you can see the face of God and You are marked as His child.

Imagine, no more night, no darkness, yet no Sun.

Imagine, praises being sung by all in the worship of God, and it is never-ending.

Imagine, Jasper walls and a city of pure Gold like a sea of glass, with Foundation stones of all kinds of precious jewels and 12 gates each made of a single pearl.

Imagine, the Holy Glory of God filling you to pouring over but never diminishing in amount.

Imagine, a beautiful tree of life with a river flowing from the throne of God watering it continuously with life-giving water and the tree bearing fruit of twelve different kinds luscious and full.

Imagine, the face of God and of the Lamb looking at you with the love illuminating you as you sing praises to the Lord.

These should be our desires.

Yet I get excited over a new truck and many other things that will pass away. Maybe you are there with me. Are we seeking things that will be no more?

What if we stopped looking down and started looking up to the things above.

Imagine, if our children, our family, our friends, our coworkers, our school mates, and total strangers, caught a glimpse of the thing above because they witnessed our desire for them!

Imagine, the church adding.

No!

Imagine, the church multiplying in numbers daily those who came to believe.

Imagine, a multitude of people on earth seeking the things above where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

It starts with us!

Are we, who have been raised up with Christ, seeking the things above?

Lord I pray, please keep us looking up and seeking to be with you in heaven. Then Lord let us who have been raised up be a witness to others so they can imagine what we are seeking. Then Lord as they seek I know they will find Jesus . Amen

I can only imagine what it would be like, if we who are raised were truly seeking the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.

Love Bro. Scott
