Are you ready for the Judgment of the Lord?
Exodus 12:10-11 And you shall not leave any of it over until morning, but whatever is left of it until morning, you shall burn with fire. Now you shall eat it in this manner: with your loins girded, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste—it is the Lord’s Passover.
Are you ready? The time will come. A just God can not hold back justice forever, even if He is loving. Wages must be paid and the wages of sin is death (eternal separation from God) in a lake of fire forever. RG Lee used to preach that there is a payday someday! This is not a check you want to cash even though you have earned it. God has offered you a chance to avoid this payment. Have you taken His offer, as is required to avoid your wages (the wrath of God)? Our text explains the manner in which we are to receive redemption/exemption. First, it explains we must take all of the redemption offered at one time. You can not take some of it today and leave some because you might need it later. You can not take a portion of it because the other part is something you like and you don't want to give it up. You must take it all. Christ offered all of Himself for you. If you don't want Him all then you don't want Him at all! He must be your Lord and Savior. If you won't take Him as Lord you can not have Him as Savior.
Then it says, "You shall eat it in this manner: with your loins girded, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste"
You are to take it with an expectation of truth. If you pray for rain carry an umbrella. If you accept His redemption prepare for redemption. If you believe in the rapture don't live like it will not happen. If Jesus is your Lord, then listen to Him. He said I will bring you out of Egypt, then pack your bags. This was the meaning of Gird your loins and have your sandals fastened. Live with an expectation of the Lord's Words coming to pass. These are two things you need to believe if you are going to accept the salvation of the Lord.
Lastly notice that this lamb that was offered was "the Lord's Passover" the word Passover means exemption. This lamb provides your exemption from the wrath of the Lord. If you receive the Lord's exemption then your Payday for your sins was laid up on the lamb Jesus. He took your wages of death and gave you His wages of life. If you took it all and are living in expectation of exemption, then you are ready for the Lord's Payday. If you haven't then you are not ready. Hurry and get ready before it is to late. Payday is coming! Someday is near. The Lord wrath is real, but Praise the Lord, so is His exemption (Jesus).
