‭‭Deuteronomy 23:14 Since the Lord your God walks in the midst of your camp to deliver you and to defeat your enemies before you, therefore your camp must be holy; and He must not see anything indecent among you or He will turn away from you.

Israel was reminded of the Holiness of God. The verses before this one speaks of burying your excrement outside of camp. The verses preceding those verses speaks of leaving camp because of uncleanness due to nocturnal emissions both show the Holiness of God as He walked through the camp. I wonder if we the church of today need to be reminded of the Holiness of God. We treat His house with little to no respect we allow sinful behavior to happen in and all around it. We show little to no shame as we plaster this type of behavior all over social media. It is shameful how we have ignored the Holiness of God. Today, God's camp is the temple for His Holy Spirit to dwell and the house in which His temples meet. Yet behavior that shows our lack of reverence for Him is common in these places. In fact, so little respect is shown for His camp that we seldom even care if we see or take care of it. From the Church Building to the physical body we show little to no reverence for God. We wonder why Satan has such a free run in the world but this text says, "the Lord your God walks in the midst of your camp to deliver you and to defeat your enemies before you, therefore your camp must be holy." What do we expect from the Lord when we show no reverence to Him for His Holiness? We make no attempt to keep his temples or His house Holy. He tells us "He must not see anything indecent among you or He will turn away from you." Yet as I said we post it all over social media. We must start showing reverence if we want God to fight for us. We must show reverence to His Holiness in His Church building and in His temple. Thank the Lord for His son Jesus who was the propitiation for our sin. He is so worthy for us to show reverence to the Holiness of God. We need to feel shame and have repentance for our halfhearted, unenthusiastic, lukewarm, and careless approach to God Almighty. He wants no part in our sins because His Son already paid for them. Live your life with reverence to the Lord and His Holiness then enter His house every opportunity you can to show your love and reverence for Him as He desires to fellowship with you!
